Eng. Marco Nyak Kuek Endorsed to Lead Mityaal Community Association in Juba

The association says its endorsement followed consultations with members, elders and youth. It has not yet announced an inauguration date.

JUBA — The Mityaal Community Association of Nasir in Juba says it endorsed Eng. Marco Nyak Kuek as its new chairman on Saturday, 3 October 2026.

According to the announcement supplied to South Sudan Press, the decision followed consultations involving community members, elders and youth. The association described Nyak Kuek as committed to unity, community welfare and development. It said supporters hope his leadership will strengthen peace and cohesion.

The association said details of a formal inauguration will be communicated later. The announcement did not provide a date, the names of the endorsing body’s officers or a record of the selection procedure.
