South Sudan has no shortage of stories. South Sudan Press was created to serve that need for readers at home and across the diaspora.
Our reporting follows how decisions made in Juba and the states affect counties, payams and bomas: schools and clinics, public money, livelihoods, security, justice and the future of peace and elections. We also make space for informed South Sudanese voices while keeping the newsroom’s standards independent of any contributor’s position.
Changkouth Mangij
Changkouth Mangij is the founder and publisher of South Sudan Press. A South Sudanese entrepreneur and digital publisher based in Victoria, Australia, he has worked on online projects connecting South Sudanese communities, civic information and diaspora participation.
He established South Sudan Press as a platform for independent reporting and public-interest analysis: a place to follow the evidence, ask direct questions of those in power, and give readers the context needed to understand events beyond the headline.
As publisher, he supports the development of the platform. Reporting, verification, corrections and decisions about what to publish are governed by the newsroom’s editorial standards.
