South Sudan Press Launches Investigations Desk

South Sudan Press has formally launched its Investigations Desk, expanding its commitment to independent, evidence-based journalism focused on accountability, governance, and the public interest.

The desk will pursue in-depth reporting on corruption, abuse of power, human rights violations, and systemic failures that shape the lives of South Sudanese citizens.

“Investigative journalism is essential to democratic accountability,” the editorial team said. “Our goal is not to inflame tensions, but to document facts, amplify truth, and serve the public interest.”

South Sudan Press has published its Investigations Ethics & Methodology and guidance for sources wishing to share information.
