Opinion Submissions
South Sudan Press welcomes thoughtful, clearly argued opinion pieces. Opinion articles must be respectful, evidence-aware, and focused on public interest issues.
What we publish
- Commentary on governance, peace, security, rights, humanitarian issues, and civic life
- Arguments supported by facts, lived experience, or documented sources
- Pieces that add insight, not insults
What we do not publish
- Hate speech, incitement, or dehumanising language
- Unverified allegations presented as fact
- Personal attacks or calls for violence
- Plagiarism or copied material
Length & format
- Preferred length: 700–1,200 words
- Include a clear headline and a short author bio (2–3 sentences)
- If referencing data or claims, include links or citations where possible
Editing & disclosure
We may edit submissions for clarity, length, and legal risk. Authors may be asked to disclose relevant affiliations or conflicts of interest.
